Was on a call to fix an Amana gas range with a bad igniter. No, nothing special there but I was then asked to look at a dryer in a cellar with a loud noise. The customer said he was concerned as it was a older Maytag. When a customer tells me that the dryer 'is older', it almost always turns out to be around 6-10 years old.
Well... This is what greeted me! |

"6-10 years old"
I'll raise you! I recently was a guest in a house that the owners are putting up for sale. They showed me around; everything in the kitchen was brand-new stainless and black, because the Realtor had said the old appliances were "dated." I said it was very handsome, and they said, "We just have to do something about the old washer and dryer now." When we got to the laundry area in the basement, I saw what they were talking about: A pair of Maytag Centennials. |
