This Speed Queen is for sale at the ARC Thrift Store in Rio Grande, NJ. Manuals seem to all be included. Price is $200.

Harry

ask them if they think they have gold there......most Wringers go for 25.00 to 75.00, and that's if it is in the best working condition....

and as with most places, they don't have running water or electricity....so testing it first is not an option....

but as with any machine, it's worth what someone is willing to pay....

for that price...you could get a good used "automatic" machine

They must be thinking that one of the $2+ Million McMansions in Cape May will need a new washer ... There is power so you could check it out. A friend was going to get a vintage Sunbeam Mixer there. Plugged it in and there was a lot of smoke ... The cashier was a bit embarrassed ...

we have a thrift shop over here as well, that claim all items are tested first....and the same thing, I insisted that they plug it in, and it smoked as well....

well, it did smoke...isn't that a function....like testing out the smoke detector?

I have to ask.

How did a town called Rio Grande end up in New Jersey?

Ralph

think of Rio Grande as the Grand Canyon, a million years ago starting out, it's a trickle of a crick running thru swampland between the mainland and the shores of Wildwood.....and to sell property, they have to give it a fancy name...it's just a prestige....

that way you can brag to your friends that we have a house near the shore.....and we paid a lot of money for Marshland!....right near the Nuclear Stations....this explains the glowing fish and humming trees!

only in New Jersey!
