Servis Quartz 1000 AutoWasher Mk600 Help!!!

I recently acquired a 31 yr old Servis Quartz 1000 AutoWasher Mk600.
This evening I've been delivered a blow, the friend who sold it to me, posted vids on YT of it running, having looked back at the vids, I've realized I have a problem. The owner, previous to my friend, has told me that the 03rd previous owner, to me, changed the motor from the original 1000RPM motor, to a 600RPM motor, or at least flicked a switch or changed the brushes or something, to stop it from operating at 1000RPM.

Does anyone know anything of the Servis motors & how they work? Would I need to replace the entire motor with a new or 02nd hand one to return it to the intended 1000RPM, or only change the brushes?

Does anyone know if a motor from a Quartz 6033 would be compatible & work, no issues on an Mk600, what with IT & the Quartz 6033 both being 1000RPM models.

With my Sapphire 9635, it has 03 ramp ups, 01st from 095RPM to 600RPM, 02nd from 600RPM to 1000RPM & 03rd from 1000RPM to 1300RPM, having looked at the Mk600 vids that my friend uploaded to YT, it only ramps up once, from 095RPM to 600RPM, instead of twice (the 02nd time being 600RPM to 1000RPM).

If I have to, I will restore the motor to a 1000RPM one, if anyone could confirm if the 6033's motor'd work without issues on the Mk600, or could point me to where I can get an actual 1000RPM Mk600 motor, & or give me tips to restore it to 1000RPM, I'd be really greatfull.

Checkrate/Likes Servis as far as I know used GEC motors like Hotpoint, brushes have no effect on speed, the motor might have to be replaced and I cant see any problems in fitting the later half panel motor. If it's not the motor then you may need to look at the power module. James.

Checkrate/Likes *Servis GEC Motor* Thanks James, I'm going to have to get Ian, our washer guy to look at it, I'm going to have to have his final verdict on my Logixx WFT2800, as it stops mid fill on any programme requiring water, & will get him to check out the Servis at the same time. Do you have any idea which 1000 models of Hotpoint used the GEC motors, might I get away with using one of those, as most brands seem to swipe parts off each other?

I've rewatched the Mk600 spin vids George posted on YT, & compared them to Paul's Mk600 & Starlight 6025, & it was my mistake, there's nothing wrong with this Mk600, it was my misinterperetation, on my Sapphire 9635, it's a 095RPM > 0600RPM > 1000RPM > 1300RPM stepped sequence, whereas it's 095RPM > 1000RPM sequence on the Cottons cycles, 0600RPM're only used on cycles 03, 04, 06, 08, & 09 on the Mk600, that's what confused me. But thanks for your thoughts. Keep up the vids of the WD22, & it'd be good to see more pics of it on here too, & at least one of it, like the shot of the Mk600 above, face on, door open, etc. CJ

Checkrate/Likes No help to you but did Servis Quartz use high water levels on rinses? I used to know someone who had the Servis Quartz 'Spectrum' and it was a good reliable machine. The hot and cold hoses used to be on the side of the machine as opposed to the back of the washer.

Checkrate/Likes You should be able to tell by the clothes whether they have been spun at 600 or 1000. At 600 they would still be quite damp. The Servis motors had the same brushes as Hotpoint motors but I don't know if they came from the same factory as they were subtly different.
