If someone's wanting a newer pair of Speed Queen's - may be worth considering?

Not sure of age?  Fair price?

Pretty New?

I'm not so sure.

They have the same prone-to-yellowing control knobs as our '97 Raytheon Amana pair did, and appear to be more toward BOL.

Caveat emptor!

Whatever happened to your Raytheon Amana Set?

They were replaced by a Duet pair.

I ran an ad on CL and they were gone in a couple of days.  I think I got $200 for the pair, and they were nine years old.

Overpriced may be an understatement......

I am getting them for 25.00 a piece...and re-sell them for 225.00 a pair....How many do you want?

@ Yogi - your displays and groupings of equipment are off the radar!  A bank of Neptunes, GE FFs, and Speed Queens.  I'm loving it!  Keep the pictures coming - they're gre a a a a a a t.

So Martin,  are they belt-eating (washer) Raytheons or not?  Is there an easy visual inspection to determine one way or the other?

No....these are true Alliance units....model and serial could tell me exact dates....but they look to be about 2006/7 models.....

these are the Commercial units, such as used for the military.....one speed, porcelain tubs.....solid vane agitator, no dispenser, but can be added....

still a very heavy duty dependable machine.....

Those are pretty much the TOL Speed Queens available in South Africa. Just the control panels have different styling and here the dryers have a "buzzer volume" control too. I've bought and sold a pair and they are fantastic machines!
