The site that pumps out bilge like this is not known for a great deal of appliance smarts. There are any number of things I have read from them that are either wrong or just don't make sense. If anyone is worried about mold growing on their dishwasher gaskets, wipe down the gasket with a bleach & water solution and see the mold disappear. (I can hear it now, "Oh, I would never bring chlorine bleach into my house.) In spite of what they say about high temperatures, I would wager that in machines where mold is found, they are using low water temperatures and one of those "green" detergents, just like with the idiots who have stinky washing machines. It makes you wonder about their bodily hygiene.
