Well, I did something stupid, it was bound to happen eventually. I let my favorite cousin borrow my wonderful little maytag A50 for a few weeks, while he and his landlord were debating the repair of his washing machine. When we loaded it on the truck to bring it back home, it was perfect, with both knobs intact. When we got home, the drain knob was missing! We drove the route again, looking for it, but the knob was nowhere to be found. I'm sick over this, and I think I may have searched to the ends of the internet looking for a replacement knob. If anyone has or knows of a source for this part, please please reply.

Sorry to hear that.

Especially when you lend your rare items out to trusted sources.
I LOVE my little Maytag A50'S even though only recently acquired.
I will certainly let you know if I come across one near me since I know the product and have the part # right on the knobs.
Fingers crossed!!!

To the rescue! (Hopefully)

Part number 251011 (called Knob for drain selector...)

My supplier still has them available (3 left at the factory as of today when I checked) and sells for about $27. If you want, here's their info...

Appliance Parts Co.
(775)348-9090 (in Reno and they DO ship...)
Ask for Glen, Bob or David and say Drew from Sargent's sent you. Those three really know the old stuff pretty well. Hope this helps!
