Friend has a Whirlpool Duet Washer and it's showing F13. Anybody got an idea
where to start looking ? Any help would be much appreciated.

F13

Hello,
Seems like there are plenty of Duet failures of late, mine is about six years old so I hope I don't have serious trouble soon?

I found this on Google, don't know if it will help with your problem?

The F13 means "Dispenser Circuit Error", if the dispenser motor is not able to be driven to its proper position.
Check the following:
1. Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
2. Check wire harness connection to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit and lastly
3. Check dispenser motor.

Thanks

Can I ask

- just out of curiosity

Is your friends Duet plugged into a surge protector?

I'm just wondering because since mine has (almost 8 years old) and I've had no error codes.
