I have the pleasure of working with a vintage pass thru Hobart from 1971 but this front loading Beauty is much older. It looks to be a member of the AM-7 or 8 series. This is a true rare find of classic dishmachines. Here is the link and Go Hobart! No one ever has or does build a better dishmachine.

That Machine is Mint.
It lookss like it was hardly used. Looks like a Cornor Machine and was probably in a Church or a VFW hall. I bet Stevet has a attic full of parts for that series ! (Ducks and Runs) Pump is 175 gal. per minute. See the Spec Sheet. This sheet looks a few years newer although it is still using the weights and pulley system for the doors. The Spring Balanced CounterBalance system I think started on the AM 8 or 9 series. Can I get a confirmation on that Steve ??? Hmmmmmmm ? |

Could this model be close to the time Hobart bought the Crescent Co? I do not see any temp gauges.

Yes.
Crescent Dishwashing was started by Josephine Cochran. At some point Hobart bought out Crescent Warewashing. In my early posting of Hobart Spec Sheets the Rack conveying models had the Hobart/Crescent "Dual Drive" Reducers that ran the conveyors. In this spec sheet, the Crescent Reducer is the Part that is between the motor and the Pump. Right in the Middle. These machines ran nearly silent except for the water noise from the spray arms. Good Lord.. The Days of Engineering. Look at the Size of the Hobart Built Motor that ran this Machine. And note on the shaft from the motor to the reducer and to the pump, the "fly wheels" on the shaft that were placed for vibration minimal. |
