Well, the bulb has burnt out in my Miele dryer. Took quite a while to figure out what the bulb part number is so that I could order one. By the time I discovered that it was an E14 15watt 130volt bulb I decided I would get more than one, just in case I need in the near future. Found it on Amazon this morning. There was actually a review of the bulb that states another purchaser searched high and low to find a replacement for their Miele. Assuring me it is the right bulb...

I have a Miele dryer so wrote down the bulb information, but then a thought. I have a gas dryer that is only connected to 110/120V line so there is no way it could have a 130 volt bulb. Am I correct? |

130V incandescent bulbs were used in tower lights for radio and other towers, obstruction lighting, and traffic signal lights. These would have krypon or xenon gas fill-to make the filament run longer. |
