I picked up this cool GE dryer today. 1958 I think. Anyone have the washer?

Very nice. My favorite control panels of the GE washer/dryer line.

1958 GE dryer

Thanks guys!
Now to find its mate.....someday I hope! A solid tub filter flo is my dream set, any year as long as they match. Need to figure out trades or something!

Very cool dryer Marty! You'll get the washer one day for sure.

So what's the story with the belt-drive Kenmore next to it in your truck? lol

Kenmore

Gordon,

That is a 1966 Kenmore coin operated black super roto swirl machine. It is awesome, I was going to show that later, you got me! Awesome shape too.
Do you have one?

Marty

no coin ops here Marty. In fact, I haven't seen a coin op BD of that era in a LONG time, since I was a kid. VERY cool, can't wait for the pics and the story on that one.

Kenmore coin op

I bought it from an RV park here in town. They were the original owners. The twist coin mechanism was not on the machine, and the owner is still looking for it. I was hoping to reunite the two and then post the pics. It is a factory coin op machine as it has the instructions on the inside of the lid. I thought of you immediately when I saw it?

Kenmore coin op

Kevin,

There was only one, not like the pink frigidairs! . I would consider trading a pink coin op for
a 1958 filter flo, or maybe even a westy spacemate. With all of the coin ops, I might need to start
A vintage laundromat!

Marty -

The KM coin op that I saw in the 1970s had that twist type operation. Insert coin(s) and and twist the knob. Never saw one before or since.

GREAT find. Kinda funny how folks think of me with these things, LOL.

Can't wait to see the pics!

Again, GREAT save Marty!   That coin-op KM is very unique and really cool!   Interesting there is no "control panel / back splash" type of thing like on all other coin-op washers I've seen.

So you do have the pink Frigidaire coin-op twins too?

Kevin
