Great washer, super reliable. If I had to think of a fault, extraction isn't the best it's very good at everything else. While there may not be much glamour in the DDs at present, I can hardly think of a better traditional style top-loader for someone who doesn't want a modern dumbed down computer controlled washer but isn't up to maintaining a 30-50 year old machine.

My Aunt had that exact same washer. She bought it in 1988. She died in 2010 and we gave it to her housekeeper. She is still using it today. My aunt did not use it a lot in the last 10 yrs as she was not home but about 3 months out of the year, but they are great machines.

This looks like one my friend's parents bought, along with a dryer, to replace their 1975 BD set. This was the first DD I saw in operation.

That's very close to the one here! Only difference is the one here has the clean touch pads and the slider water level selector.

My grandma had this washer. I absolutely LOVED it because it had so many frills compared to our boring ol' center dial Maytag.

I have one of these in Almond - without the second rinse toggle switch.

It needs a gearcase, which its going to get this summer. It is in pristine cosmetic condition. If anyone wants it, let me know. It has a brand new timer already. With that and the new transmission, it'd be a bargain, at least I think, at $150 or so.

I will be putting it on Charlotte's Craigslist if nothing else probably sometime this summer.
