good to hear from u in the other room about the A407

U know me and my maytags

If u remember I grew up with A606S and A806S...yes for those of u who thinks thats gross,,,those are sudssaver models........and I miss them....if u know what u are doing all is fine.

Bob to bring u up to speed...

Whewn I was in GRAND RAPIDS MI I had the LAT (tol) set that i sold to a friend....orbital transmission load sensor adj and I replaced with a turquoise power fin a very food washer I miss it...cept for the short rinse cycles

Then I got the very first TOL 8000 Atlantis
>huge capacity
>washed and rinsed well
>plastic tub
>was not put together like a maytag

Then I sold those

got the 8600 w/ stainless steel tub
> much better put together
>all maytags used to be put together by screwas not clips the 8000 was clips...the 8600 was back to screws to hold everythin together much more solid machine
> when I moved back to milwaukee I left the 8600 back in grand rapids when I sold the house

I bought the Atlantas 9700...the non energy star model (9750)that dumbs down the water temp...I love HOT water
> the 9700 has a seperate speed control 6 combo's and a regular and pp cycle as well as soak only. Regular and PP on the dial not the White / colors and delicates as with previous Atlantis modles

I scared my mom into buying the same casue she will never buy a frontloader and I told her that tops with reasl hot water are on there way out....she loves her 9700 pair.

Like u i loved every maytag dryer I've owned...even if WP has a slightly bigger drum.

The atlantas consensus:

** wonderful capacity
** excellent cleaning and rinsing 1st rinse is 6 mins long and 2nd is 3 mins
** puring along fine all 4 sets that i know about have never had a problem
** they guzzle water
** spin speed 620....spin speed helical maytags 618.....helical maytag could remove mroe water than these guys in 5 mins vs 9-12 mins becasue of Holes...no machine had more holes that helical maytags
CU reports......says that the atlantis are excellent cleaners.... they are.
cu said more wear and tear on laundry...less gentle... but look at the stats
**cu states that run the machines on the most aggressive cycle....with an atlantis thats 34 mins of wash time which is ridiculous
** in a 12-15 min wasH ther is no WEAR AN TEAR
** i HAVE ONLY ONE COMPLAINT...LINT
** THERE IS NO LINT FILTER ON ANY ATLANTIS Or ANY NORGETAG

people give them a bad wrap.
I don't know why
all mine are fine and never had a repair
yes they are part NORGE thats why the clean so well...but Maytag RIP did change the transmission and allowed for full spin drain I (I hate neutral drain)and ther is now a dry brake no more clank as with a NORGE

Bod I got to go but I have aDDed to my collection
and i would lovce to tell u about it soon

I added an LG2432...I love and hate
a 1972 sQUARE TUB maytag wringer
and a 1978 MAYTAG TWIN TUB

iN fEB iM FINALLY GETTIN MY EASY SPIN
JNOW LETS TALK DISHWASHERS BOB
tOM
