No luck yet with washer parts

hippiedoll,

Hi, there!

As I told you before, I was looking myself to try to find some washer parts, including the hose refered to previously. Up to now, a few emails here and there but nothing yet... My contact bud in Australia, Alex, has provided me an email address of a guy named Mike who happens to work for Qualtex. I just dropped a message to him yesterday. Got a reply today: he asks me to write a list of the things in request (I would also need replacement belts for the Hoover tt). So, wait and see what happens... Don't know about Launderess though. Certainly, if something's going to emerge from that side it would be great news for both of us!

Anyway, I will let you know for sure if something works with my contact's.

uj

Have Been Dealing With Some Local Drama

Including things from work and now what seems an infected (malware) computer but yes, did manage to retrieve one hose from my stash. Will have to sit down and work out a price and shipping costs.

Wow, sounds like some good news hippiedoll!

Incidentally I've received a e-mail reply minutes ago from my contact's friend Mike in Australia who says he doesn't have the hose in stock. Good news yet as it seems that the reseller out there still has some of the old drive belts in stock.

''what seems an infected (malware) computer'' ... ...
In hope, Launderess, this is not too serious a problem and that it might be solved readily without damage to your system, data, etc. ... These kinds of things can wreck havoc to any computer we know that too well (not to mention the omen of recurrent crashes, freeze, data loss, etc.)

launderess:

my dear launderess, seems you are the bearer of good news with some bad news as well.

i am so happy that you did have an extra hose from your stash that you can sell me. you can email me (my email is on my profile) to let me know the price + shipping. my zipcode is: 85705. that is in tucson, arizona. if that will help you?

i'm so sorry to read that you're computer has been infected with a malware virus :o(
and that on top of that, you are dealing with drama from work!?!? not fun at all!!! i think that is why i prefer to just be by myself. that way you don't have to deal with anybody else's "b.s." (if you know what i mean?). i do hope everything works out for you at work there launderess. i'll be sending positive vibes your way love. keep your head up, things will get better. but definitely get your computer fixed. i can't imagine being without my computer: to listen to music & watch videos on youtube.

unclejohn:

that is good news about the drive belts from the reseller in australia. i have gotten some of my belts from australia too. the shipping is pricey, but i think it's worth it to have the belts on hand should one of the old belts break on your machine, making it useless. it's better to have the belts so that you can keep using your Hoover twin tub!! :o)

a word of advice for you, but i'm sure you've probably already thought about this, but be sure to look your Hoover over & write down everything you might need from this reseller so that you only have to pay for the shipping one time to have everything sent to you at the same time. i got a replacement of every belt; the spinner v-belt, the drain pump stretch-belt, and the pulsator stretch-belt (got that one from a seller in the u.k.).

you should see if that seller has the other hoses since he doesn't have the drain hose. it doesn't hurt to ask. if the reseller does have a few of, the hose that goes from the spinner to the drain pump, please let me know as i would like to get one of those hoses too. please feel free to email me as well. my email is on my profile.

i'll be looking forward to hearing from you launderess & unclejohn......

with love,
hippiedoll ;o)
peace.......

If that can be of some help ...

Allo hippiedoll,

Hope youre doing well.

Seems like original-type hoses you refer to are rather difficult to find

These days are a hard time for the fans/casual users of old twin tubs...

The twinnie reigned supreme (well, almost) 40 years ago... But now... (?)

I've provided a few links that might help (hope they work):

http://stores.ebay.com/fasttrackspares...

(if you have questions ask for my contact Alex)

www.qualtex.com.au/...

(ask for Mike Ahern)

...plus another web link (we never know)
The best thing to do is to browse thru their stores or make a request

hippiedoll if you still decide eventually to ''get rid'' of the old 0510 drain hose, please let me know

Nice day,

u j

Well I almost forgot

to tell you that I will ask Mike, indeed, for your request about that ''hose that goes from the spinner to the drain pump''. It's for the Hoover 0510, isn't it?

He'll be back by Monday 6, so I could ask for you and tell you all about it on this forum - check it out within a few days as I should know by then (sometimes they still have things on hand which do not appear when you hit the search box button)

u j

uncle john:

as soon as me & ms. launderess get all settled with the extra drain hose that she is going to sell to me, this drain hose here has your name written all over it!!! so no worries darlin', cuz it's all yours!!! ;o)

but i don't know if you want to put your address out on the site, so if you want, you can look on my profile and get my email address so that you can email me privately & give me your address so that i'll know where to send this drain hose, after i get mine from launderess.

and thank you for the links in your message. i haven't gotten a chance to check them out yet but when i can, i'll look on there. and also, thank you for asking your connections about ''hose that goes from the spinner to the drain pump''. i really do appreciate that. i'll be waiting to hear back from you to see what you found out.

have an "outta sight" weekend.........

with love,
hippiedoll ;o)
peace.......

Done, Finally

Need your email address to send a PayPal invoice. Had to find a Priority Mail "flat rate" box so it won't matter about weight and or where the thing is going.
