some of the guys here
do recommend adding some hot water to the sump manually without the motor running and then letting it sit for 10 minutes or so to soften the pump seal if it has not been used in awhile.
i have a lot of dishwashers and some of mine sit for a year or so in between uses, i always do this. i pour in a pan full of hot water, enough to cover the pump area so the seal gets wet. i leave it for 10 to 20 minutes, then turn on the machine. don't know if it really helps but i feel better when i do it! | ||
