Very Cool Looking Set Travis.
My interest is peaked, but I'd like to know more about them. Can you, at least plug them in to see if they power up, or the motors run? What are the dimensions? What size load, do they take? What functions are on the control panels? Does anyone have an idea of what shipping would cost for a set like this from St. Louis to New Jersey? I've seen a few shippers mentioned on here, but who would seem to be the Best choice? Thanks Travis. Louis |

I wouldn't just power up that washer without putting quite a bit of very hot water in the pump first. What happens if you do that is you can destroy the pump seal if there is dried grit between the carbon face and bronze face seals. |

Thanks for pointing that out.
I did not realize.that could happen. I've worked on vintage radios, TV, Hi-Fi's, Refrigerators, etc, but not Automatic Washer & Dryers. I have only worked on a Philco-Matic Wringer Washer, I had at one time. As you can tell I'm new to this, but am hoping to learn here, as I go. Thanks again. |

check around for shipping companies and ask for quotes from one city to the next....this will give you an idea......
prices vary, as well as door to curb side service, or have it drop shipped at a loading facility.....depends on what exactly you select to be shipped and how... U-Ship usually has bidding wars on who can do it cheapest, but you want it handled carefully as well.... but that is an absolutely beautiful set to consider....this is the time to react, they may not last long.....money talks! |

The neat thing about WH dryer buttons was that the heat levels were labeled HI, LO and NO. NO was more consistent than air or fluff, but a little strange to see at first. These dryers, because of their narrow, long cylinders are bad about rolling sheets. |
