Hi,

I am new to the forum but am looking forward to gain your expertise. I recently purchased an early 50's Westinghouse dryer. I am interested in selling or renting it out but I haven't had any luck on finding anything online regarding value or rental interests. Can you point me in the right direction? I included the pictures the previous owner had, as I have not had a chance to clean it up and take better pictures yet. I will do that ASAP as I understand the value of accurate and clear photos. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

If it were the washer, I'd be interested.  If you ever find one send me an email.  That said, it's a great dryer.  Best of luck finding it a home.

Does anyone know what is up with the knob on the far side?  It looks more like a delete plate.  On my dryer that is pull to start.

This was not their DeLux model. They put a flat disk that matched the timer dial so it would match any Laundromat washer front. Dryers at that time were more of a luxury then they were a necessity.

Westinghouse D-104

I gathered a little more info on the dryer and it's a D-104. I am not sure how to identify the year though. I have not seen any labels on the machine at all. Just some writing on the back that says D-104 and t131736.

Mark, this post is two years old. Robert is Laurie's email still somewhere in your records or is it deleted for all time?
