A one-piece agitator that actually moves clothes without beating them!!! I took the base of a DA agitator and melted the top of a Whirly DD Surgilator to the DA base.

That's interesting! The blue cap/softener dispenser looks just like the one from my early 90's KitchenAid TL. And pardon my ignorance, but what is a DA agitator?

...Forgot to ask: Whose base did you use and what model was it from?

I found the base at a junk yard a couple years ago, so it could be one of two, the bases are the exact same, but the augers are a little different. I would say only use a base from an agitator with a shorter auger, like this one:

Interesting.. I have an old Kenmore with the DA agi in it, but only have a 2.5 CF BOL Inglis.. That's why I was asking.. I would need to find an effective base from an extra large capacity washer.. And add the auger/corkscrew section from the Kenmore to it, and find a cap like that KA one there, just for the silver.. Or have "Surginglis" engraved on it..
