noise I here a noisey stem and seal,very common in that vintage. | ||

Noisey Maytag while spinning It could be one of many things, a bad top spin bearing, a loose suspension support bolt where it attaches to the outer tub [ this will usually result in a leak also ], could be a damper pad that has come loose and be sure to look at the main drive belt carefully just a small bad spot can sometimes make a similar noise. If the washer is working fine otherwise and not leaking there is no problem continuing using it till the problem becomes more apparent.
