I heard that Newwave has a problem with his Hoover logic and i wonder what the problem is. Maybe i give him tips on how to fix it or something.

Alas this is true....My old faithful hoover logic has a timer problem. It keeps sticking & won't advance sometimes either tapping it hard or using the selector to give it a hand sometimes helps...

It struggles when selecting the seperate rinse or spin & finds it hard to advance through all the cycle. Even when on a full cycle it does stick here & there.

i think its unwell. its starting to show signs of age. Theres a scrapping sound coming from the motor & the timer fault of course. i'm in two minds what to do from here. Do i restore her or replace her.

The hoover newwave on the otherhand is much better. the vibrating & moving across the room is near enough eliminated now its on a solid concret floor which im pleased to say.

My Samsung on the otherhand may have a new home where it is wanted & can annoy its new owner with its "i Will Not Distribute evenly Attitude" lol.

Hope Everyones well

Darren

yes, OMG you must restore the Logic for the sake of history. With not many of these fantastic washer around nowadays i think it would be a crime to just replace it with an inferior up to date machine!

hmm well we are welcoming the addition of a hotpoint 9550 microtronic this week hopefully. so between 3 machines it shouldnt feel the strain too much:D i'll price it up. i no i wouldnt want to see it go. i've had a year of no stress from it which is fantastic. not bad not near 19yrs old.

The "sticking" may be a problem with the timer or the electronic board. If it was me i would try to restore it. The scraping sound from the motor may just be bad bearings or bad cole.If you check on Ebay you might find some spare parts. Just a tip.

Hi Guys.

Any pictures or descpition of the Hoover Logic.

I have a Hoover Twin-tub portable.

Are they similar?

I really enjoy hearing about the washers "on the Continent."
