Hi all.

With John in Australia restoring his 455 Automatic and posting a collection of Australian Hoover brochures recently, I promised him that I would post the UK's servicing information for the Matchbox bodyshell range (narrow bodyshell with proud door).

I just hope that the pages are legible, as Hoover in their last file version of servicing information shrank the old pages down, so as to put two pages of information onto one side of A4 paper.

Wont know until I post a page or two, so here goes....

Right - I tried it landscape and it was only just about readable soooooo, though I know its an irritant, I will post the pages in portrait.
For those really interested, you will have to save the pages to your computer and rotate them:-(

Thank you so much for these wonderful vintage Hoover information scans, it makes for great reading material. I am so much waiting for the next Electron chapter.

Thank You

Hi Paul

A big thank you for the servicing information for early matchboxes. It'll be fascinating reading about the 3236H differences, and the 3235 which of course didn't come here. I love how they're called "slimline automatics" in the manual. I'll certainly look forward to future instalments.

It's a bit of a waiting game with the 455 now. Would you believe Loctite don't bring Chemical Metal into Australia. It's had to be ordered with an online company. There are probably alternatives just as good, but with electron1100's success with this product, I'll stick to it. Not to mention trying to get 34 year old Merthyr paint off a few parts...

Thanks again and cheers to all.
John
