Hi Bunty
Should be quite easy to fix. It might have stuck rubber cups. It you are quite handy you could take the pump out by disconnecting the 3 hoses, the connecting rod to the knob, take off the belt and remove the 3 screws from underneath and lift the pump out. There is a wire clip going over the pump body. Remove this - it is a bit tricky and then the pump will separate into two. In the top half you will see the cups and you can check that they have not become detached or stuck to the body - I've attached a link showing the new cups for reference in case you need to replace.
