Really need to get the WP dryer sorted and out of the way, so by this weekend hope to get it stacked on top of the AEG.
Have been looking around the archives of this site and elsewhere for various views on stacking kits and methods. Some swear by universal or brand stacking kits, others jigged up various solutions to suit. Many found the stacking kits offered are quite dear for what they are (normally a few bits of plastic, some screws, and perhaps rubber feet), and just put a non-slip mat (bath?) or otherwise between the top of the washer and left things at that. Since one is stacking a dryer on top of a dryer don't anticipate "vibration" issues causing the unit on top to heave over. I mean don't intend to dry huge bulky items in there, so could simply placing it on top work? Do I need dryer feet? Currently the WP has casters and cannot seem to find out of these compact 24" dryers take feet, and or the correct part number. |

This is the Whirly "portable" dryer atop the AEG dryer? In my non-expert opinion, it'd likely be OK just sitting atop with a suitable thick rubber cushion between. The Duet stacking kit requires the dryer's feet be removed ... presumably other brands are the same regards to that. The Duet kit I bought is nothing more than two foam/adhesive strips, two anchor brackets, and four screws. |

I don't have a stacking kit on my machines, and the dryer hasn't moved an inch.
Whilst they are best for a safeguard, in real practice you should be just fine without a kit.
