The GE Combination model I grew up with - 1958, and one model off the TOL, which had a larger freezer whose drawer front was bright textured aluminum instead of painted.

Ours was White, and was right-hinged instead of left as this one is. "Lefties" were pretty uncommon then; you had to special-order them in most instances. Reversible doors were still years in the future.

Lawrence, that looks like a good candidate to replace the top-mount '58 you had -- if you feel you can spare $150 considering recent events.

Ralph, it is a tempting 'fridge, but it opens the wrong way for my kitchen and this was pre-reversible doors. As with so many other 'vintage' appliances, if I only had a basement I'd definitely want to add this one to my collection.
