Hello all :)
Well, yesterday I nabbed a Creda debonair reversair compact off ebay, the dryer was quite local and I already route planned to pick it up, but the seller offered to drop it off for me tomorrow, well, it just means that I can get my mitts on it a bit sooner lol :)
Here is the obligatory ebay pic, proper pics will come tomorrow along with a video :o)Does anybody know when these models date from? 1983 was my guess but Im unsure.
Tom

Hi again
The dryer arrived, the chap who brought it over was really nice and put it in the hallway for me :) the dryer has some marks to the top and some on the sides so will need a touch up. Its really quiet, the high heat setting is really hot and the low heat setting is what I would class high heat on a normal dryer, my mum gave me a tip when she used to have her full sized creda from the 80's, she said use low heat only because the high heat used to shrink everything in her old one, she also said that its back plate is in beautiful condition and it has no rust. Her old creda started rusting at the bottom for some reason, so she said she will help me touch it up :)
the chrome plate on the door has some wear on it, namely scuffs that have occurred through use. Pictures will come soon :)

I don't think it was used too much because not a lot of the paint has come off

It comfortable manages to hold a double duvet cover with ease :)

The timer dial took me a few minutes to figure out since the selected drying time marker isn't at the 12 o'clock position

nice dryer there, hard 2 believe the basic design can still be brought new 2day with the Hotpoint and Indesit models with more modern styling of course, and did u know that Creda appliances are actually dateable, the sticker @ the back of the dryer will tell u when it was made, on my Nana's Debonair model 4 example it says on the back 8601 which means it was made in January 1986 so if u note the serial number thenit'll tell u when it was built, simples :)

My parents got married in 83 lol :) my mum always says that the more basic the dryer is, the less there is to go wrong with it, I hope im in my 80's when it pops its clogs lol :)
