Wowie Wow Wow Wow!

That is gorgeous.

I have always had a soft spot for the styling of these machines, due to that voluptous "Scandinavian Modern" die-cast handle.

Later in the run, KA went to an extruded straight bar handle with die-cast end caps.

It was not the same.

Hey Sandy! I like this one too, with the crease in the center. Did the blue wash arm model have the same die-cast handle? It had the same shape outside but the handle looked different.

Looks like this would belong to the 15 series.  Nice machine, but I wouldn't pay what they're asking for it.

As I mentioned, KitchenAid changed the handle at some point, to a straight-bar handle resembling the one on its front-load convertible/portables.

However, I don't know when the change occurred; one of our resident KA experts like stevet or swestoyz might be better able to help on that.

For me, these Electras are the handsomest top-loading machines ever made.

OOH! Nice!! I have a later model Electra and, to quote a few members here, "It will scrub the rust off a trailer hitch". This one must be an earlier model than mine - I love the "bump" in the front, too!

Yea, the original Electra (with the blue wash arm) had the same handle. My Aunt had that model and I would listen to it run every time we were at her house and she had to use it. I loved that machine; many warm memories from that time!
