I understand that these machines have the option of a Warm rinse.

However, to get a truly warm wash, if you don't run a hot/warm rinse before a cycle, you have to use the "Hot" selection, which only gives a cold rinse.

If, after the machine finishes filling for the main-wash you switch to "Warm/Warm," would the machine fill with Warm water for the rinses, or would it be cold since you had started the cycle with "Hot/Cold" selection?

Whilst I understand Warm rinses can be "wasteful," depending on how your water is heated, this is a question I've wondered about for some time.

Main Wash Fill

Once the main wash fill has completed, no options can be changed without turning the machine to off first.

This illustrates the shortcoming of 'computer' appliances: Inflexibility. Besides any time ANYthing happens the answer is replace a $300 board. Give me an actual knob that actually controls what happens and doesn't take a dump every time a satellite crosses the perihelion.

My Frigidaire Front loader allows changing the final rinse temp after the wash fill is complete. I just hit pause, re-select the temp combination, and hit start again to continue the cycle. This machine is from 2005. (The square door model)

What is NOT flexible is my Speed queen top loader. Cold rinse only. When the water gets really cold up here in NE, I'll have to run a hot water hose into the tub to temper the water a bit. I may even just shutdown the speed queen and go with the front loader until spring.
