Jet Action 1:18 Pound Capacity

Collectible December 1970 Vintage Frigidaire GM-made Washer (MODEL WS4) and Matching Electric Dryer..(MODEL DS1)

The washer features JET CONE agitator that moves up and down vertically...both in Harvest Gold cabinets. Great shape for age they have virtually no rust and look new.

Features Infinite water control, 7 Cycles, Circle of spray water fill, soap measure cup, bleach and dye dispenser, and see through WINDOW lets you view the washer cycle and JET CONE in ACTION! Like new tub no rust spots! Classic 6 RING Jet Cone Agitator. No leaks or squeaks when running. The Washer is fine mechanically with the exception that the timer motor does not advance it through cycles... timer motor can be replaced very easily. The Dryer is completely functional.

Units were lightly used...Mom washed big items in Commerical laundry so only clothes were touched by the gentle yet powerful Jet Cone. Mom also line-dried most laundry so electric dryer saw minimal use.

See what a classy design how boring are my newer Frigidaire front loaders by WCI Worst Company Inc for ruining classic designs of many Brand Names!) Thankfully this JET CONE PAIR was not made by WCI but by GM---the Mark of Excellence then!

Must be an early washer, no drain trough above the motor. Nice set!

Take back the TUNDRA

Wes,
Please take back the Tundra and get the PRIUS with a Trailer Hitch instead! The Uhaul fee w/o a truck is not too bad to TN from up here. Maybe they give you a better rate if you book it from a Uhaul in TN? HOPE HOPE HOPE. I think you would be a great dad to these babies! Maybe you can share custody with the bros in Tampa area?

The Price Is Right!

I can't believe someone is passing these up.  A timer motor is not hard to find!

While these machines appear to be in quite good shape "under the the skirt", the control panels and cabinets look to be in VERY average condition.  They are also Harvest, which is not to everyone's liking.  If I were close and in the market I would buy this set in a minute for parts but not as a showcase set for a collection.

Yeah, it looks like someone at one time wasn't careful when spraying the Spray N' Wash. It'll eat up control panels like nothing else.

...There is some one for everyone and Tommy's love was B

Wow don't know about pre wash...I usually just use the normal unscented liquid from Costco just diluted with water in for a pre-treat...but usually spary it on an item sitting inside the wash tub. However I did not wash that much stuff as that really was Mom's job LOL. Most of the time she woujld shreak if we even opened the lid to take a look or put something inside...thankfully this unit has the DISPLAY WINDOW in the LID so the good news is it is EASY and SAFE for kids to watch the pulsator, circle spray, spin whatever w/o having to bypass the cover interlock.

I think if you take a look at the woodgrain on a 70 Caddy it will also look dated, cracked or unappealing..as are its curshed velour or flowery print spandex type apholstry WHAT WERE THEY THINKING....Some interesting thoughts though.

Other people would find beige (especially the pinkish beige like on the 70 AT&T phones from Western Electric..can u say UGLY LOL), chccolate, poppy, almond, yellow, avocado, pink, black and turquoise unattracttive as well...not to mention stainless steel fronts that show every fingerprint.

Many folks here have brought back units falling apart, rusted, leaking oil, essentially from the dead like many in the Aberdeen farm (if that is still around)...taking months of toil and rebuilidng. Not much elbow grease needed in this case. I think we have great TALENT here and really you dont have to worry as mach about the book cover but what is inside or "under the skirt" which at least is still Great! Also, this is sitll a ONE onwer machine tha really has not been moved since it was first delivered...often better to get an item from an ORIGINAL owner.

Cheers!

WELL Worth The Price You're Asking...

trainguy's profile picture

...try going to a used appliance store and getting a dependable washer anywhere close to the price you're asking for the whole set...WITH the brochures.

If nobody else out there wants this set, I might have to consider it...even though it's a 12 hour trek for me.  Maybe after they get to Pittsburgh, someone closer will want them?
