On the Miele it could be either the element (just check it with a multimeter), the heater relai (it should click when the heater is switched on) or worst case, the PCB/Timer (don't know the modell, but thats nearly always the same...). |

I know how to check the element -will do that soon, but how do I check the relay ? |

I dont know why but i took the base of the machine off and (i think a tempreture sensor) had clicked out and i pushed a little red knob in and the machine is now heating ! - i have only tryed one empty cycle so far - fingers crossed! |

OK, that had been the overheat-high-limited-thermostat that hat reacted. Sorry I forget about that XD. Maybe someone poored somthing like still hot tea in the DW and that caused the thermostat to react.. |

As long as it got a heater, there should be a overheating switch. But probably if it got one, it won't be a resetable one... |
