Hello all.. We have a really old Hoover Logic 1300 Washer/Dryer that's been in the family for about 30 years! Recently it started tripping the RCD so I stripped it and found the metal shield on the front motor bearing had become dislodged and was contacting the armature windings. I have stripped the motor and replaced both bearings but it seems the shorting has damaged the armature coils... Anyone know where I might get a new or good secondhand motor or even just the armature coz I would really hate to scrap this lovely old machine as all that's gone wrong before is a pump failure which cost all of about a tenner to replace. The number on the motor is 43174-621 (240v) and the OE Hoover number is 677572... Any help and/or advice will be much appreciated as SWMBO is pressurising me to just get a new one and I really don't wanna fork out my hard-earned on a piece of modern Sh**e if I can help it!

Photograph

Is there any chance of a photograph of the motor?? I have a stock of old motors, but have no idea which machines they are from. A photo for initial identification, plus the Part No. should give a definite answer. If I have one, it's yours for the postage, plus a couple of quid. :-)

All best
