My Miele dishwasher is not cleaning!!! Well it is ( the top baskets are going great ) but the base spin/wash arm is not spinning at all! I have checked the filter and cleaned the outlet pump filter, the wash arm itself and I have checked for blockages in the part where he arm clips into!!

What now!

Sounds like you have the Top Solo activated. Its the 4th button in on the left. If thats activated then you will get the results your seeing. If not then there is something going on in the pump with the diverter. Miele usually will replace the entire motor wash pump assembly and it aint cheap.

Not solo!!

It is defiantly not the solo wash thing, but I did notice the diminishing wash quality after I used top/solo- I never have really used it!

-wish I had not now!

I once asked for advice on the purchase of a used Miele dishwasher. It had the Top Solo function. I got the reply to stay away from these units as the metal ball that controls the Top Solo funtion (cutting off the flow to the lower spray arm) can become stuck in the TS position. This might have happened in your case.

Ball Problem!

I downloaded that file ( thanks sooooo much logixx) and the ball was stuck on the wrong side of a little metal stick which looks as if when you hit solo would allow the ball to block water to the lower rack. Anyway I won't be pressing solo again!

Do you think if this happens again I should just remove the little white ball all together?

Thanks all

I'd try not to use the TS function any more before removing the steel ball. If the problem comes back, and you feel comfortable removing the ball, do it.

I wonder what made the ball become stuck in the TS position? Grease, maybe?

HEY
follow these steps:
1.check to not anything prevents spray arms to move freely
2.remove the spray arm and rinse it and clean each nuzzle by paper clip or any thin object and be sure there is no blockage inside the arm
3.check the filters follow the user's guid
4.check the pipe which sprayer attaching on and make sure that is fine
5.check to correct installation of sprayer arm to that pipe(rotate it by your hand and it's should move easily around)

finally run the normal cycle and let it to finish cause may your DW using alternatively spraying system, after ending the program check the cleanness of dishes
any lock?if it won't fix,you should ask your Miele dealer

I hope it will works for you
