Hi guys.
My kenmore has the lid switch by passed. The neutral drain PAC dose not always work, and contributes to a un balanced load
( or at least I think it dose ?)
If I replace the lid switch, will that stop the machine from spinning if a un balanced situation occurs ?

Nope, these machines don't stop with unbalanced loads, in your case with the bypassed switch, simply push in the timer knob to stop it and redistribute what you have to. Smile

awww ...miss the old Kenmore buzzer's going off...use to scare the crap out of you if you weren't on your guard and you were near the machine when it sounded off!. Some of them were pretty loud.

One of the old "bell and whistles" of days gone by before the DD machines showed up.

Wonder where I got that idea?
Is there another machine (brand) that dose work that way?
Maybe it was my old Maytag that had that feature? Can't remember !

Yes,
My Maytag TL would shut off if unbalanced. Only a very short buzz as it stopped.
