getting the d/w pictured below, along with '62 Americana range... anyone have '62 GE brochures or manuals for these? There's nothing in Ephemera on them. Thinking of using them as daily drivers in our new retirement home so info would help...thanks in advance for any help!

wow...

...these are pretty- I dont think its a good idea to use the dishwasher as a daily driver, it doesn't really clean very well unless you pre-rinse every thing you load in it-I recall these also would develop drain impeller issues ...does it have the over flow preventer floatie in it? In the apartment complex we moved to in Bethesda, in 66, the first two buildings with these did not have the floats, but in our building, from the 7th floor and upwards, they did have them....wonder why..? I like it though, these are part of my history, and love all of the colours from that era....enjoy! Robert

Apparently the '62s worked better than the slightly later ones for some reason, CU Check-rated them that year. I'm told '65-6 were deficient in cleanability.

When I say DD, it will be in the company of a KA 17 and/or KA-18 (have several of each) so, really, it will be more like occasional use. I like the GE look this year better than KA, I have to say! Now all I need is a F-daire spin tube early '60s like one I "stole" of a back loading dock in '71 for my first apartment!

Don'[t know if it has an overflow float, I'll go retrieve it in 3 weeks, and have no factory lit, as of yet.

I found the spec sheet for your range and some care info. I will have to get them Xeroxed for you. Send your address to my email address.

Owner's manual

Roger, I have the owners manual for your stove-it's for the entire Americana line. I'll be happy to send it to you for your perusal and copying. Use my email address from my profile. Greg Bushman
