Hi ALL! Well I finally got in touch with the guy at the Appliance parts shop - He was very excited to hear that there is interrest in his stuff and is truly interrested in selling the WHOLE LOT!!! I'm going to meet him on Sunday to see what he has and disuss appliances and prices. He's been in the business for years and also said if we have questions to ask! I'm not sure if he's online but I'm going to be printing out a bunch of pics for him to see and tell him more about us. So - what I need from you guys is to EMAIL ME OFFLIST AND MAKE A LIST OF PARTS YOU NEED - I will then present it to him - (his name is Andy) and he'll let me know what he has and what his price is. I'm very excited as he told me he has a bunch of old GE's in the basement that I can look at for parts or whatever I want and ther is so much other stuff in there - if you all remember the pics I postd in NOV. - I could just pee! So - lets go guys - let me know! After I talk to him and establish a relationship we can go from there and anyone who wants to invest we can make him an offer - he'd love to clear that space! SO THERE YOU GO! Looking forward to the treasure hunt of a lifetime! Matt |

I think that Matt mentioned that this is in Wilkes Barre. (You're right ... most small towns in Pennsylvania look very similar. I have family near Johnstown and this street scene looks very familiar.) Mike |

Please don't try and find this guy - it took me a LONG time to get a hold of him and now I finally have a chance - You'll all get what you're looking for if he has it, I promise! I don't have an interest in all this stuff - just a few GE parts... He has tons of stuff so I'll see what I can do - no promises tho - I really don't have any idea of what to expect. So just hang in there. If I get the ok from him to go thru it or whatever - I'll let you know so those who can come up will have a chance. Thanks for understanding! Matt |

Matt, Good luck on the finds!! If there are any large-capacity GE transmissions in the lot (especially the old metal-case versions), please let me know!! Thanks, Austin |

I thought I sent this question yesterday, but maybe not. Are the parts only for GE appliances, or are parts for other brands represented? Thanks, Tom |

I'm sad to report that our dear friend Andy might be suffering from Senility or Alzheimers, as when I called him today - as he had asked me to - He didn't remember me or our conversation at all! He said - like back in December, that he was sick and to call next week... I even went with the parts you all asked me for priinted out, a pile of pics and of course my camera... with no luck. So - everyone say a prayer that he has a good day soon and we can get some of these old treasures before he dies and a family member throws all this supposed "junk" away! Matthew |
