The older one you have is around 5 maybe 5.5 cubic feet in capacity the newer one you pictured is around 7 CF in size. If you used each of these dryers side by side with large loads for a while you would find that the newer one produces better results in terms of less wrinkling and they are much more gentle with clothing in terms of keeping temperatures lower.
All that said the older GE design is much more durable than what GE has been producing over the last 20 years, your best dryers either classic or new are still WP products and if you want new durable and simple Speed Queen is a great choice also. |
