Today, I stood in our kitchen just arround.
As I look at our Siemens Induktion hoob+stove combo, I suddenly recognized a yellow glow underneath the ceramic hoob. Just a split-second later, a loud "pooooofff" and the yellow glow expands and dissapears. Checked the circut-breakers and one out of 3 shut off. When I returned to the hoob, the powerleveldisplays for the right 2 fields showed up 1e.
New, even though I did not check anything yet, I guess that we'll get a new one...

Ok, well, after a hour, I pluged it back in and now the right two zones are still giving error F1 or E1 (can't define at all, its a strange thing that looks like a P or so..), the left ones turn on, but don't sense if there dishes on, sp just stay there and show what you select and on't heat either; and the oven probably won't work either. Only the venting fan runs, no funktion at all.
But even if it still would work, a repair probably would coast at least the 2 new boards in the hoob, each 180€ I think, plus service to come out, so we go with these two which we will pick up tommorow (IF they have them because the site wont work...):

The stove:
www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/produc...

And the hoob:
www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/produc...

These are Whirlpool (or E-Lux, don't remember right now, both make applaiences for IKEA...) made, are round about the cheapest to get and have 5 years full warranty on board, so a good deal to get a good stove + an induction hoob + 5 years warranty...
