Some of you may remember when I bought this fridge at an estate sale. Since then it's been at the home of a friend near Toldeo, Ohio. Well, it's had a few issues and rather then hassle with minor repairs, I simply replaced it with a Kenmore (circa 1996) that was an unbeatable deal at an estate sale (Clean ice/water s/s model for $90). That leaves me with one too many fridges.

I don't want this thing to go to a scrapper. The chrome is beautiful, good green finish, clean interior. Also kinda cool if you are a Ford guy... What better for your garage?

The problem (I believe) relates to a freezer door that does not close fully. The fridge uses a spring-loaded hinge that "snaps" the door shut. It's partially made of Nylon, and the Nylon has cracked. I discretely added some magnets to the seal, but I don't think these are getting the job done. Here's a fun project if you have the time!

For someone from this site, it's free. On Craigslist I'll probably ask $50 to keep the scrappers away. However I can't just keep this fridge forever at the rental home, so act fast.

Inside

Freezer has allowed food to defrost, I believe because of the seal, so freezer side is not being used.

And once last photo... Perfect garage fridge. Park it right next to your Mustang II or Granada ;-)

I hope somebody will get it! If it was an Aztek copper 1964 fridge from another auto manufacturer, I think I would already be driving to Detroit!

I hope someone gets it... Just like what my mom's friend had, only here's was Harvest Gold!

Though the frequent freezer failure drove her to buy an expensive Sears Kenmore Frost-Free upright...

By the way, how do you clean the condenser????
