That was great! However, and no flames please, I only wish today's kids would learn proper spelling and punctuation, especially when "putting it out there." Chuck |

Lance, I had to watch twice and then remembered to stop the film to see who was the godfather and who, the godson. You're both so handsome and young, you'd never know till you stopped the film.
To the niece ~ What a beautiful, uplifting piece of work: the graphics, the music, the colors, the "story"--all wonderful. I loved the impressive look of the "old-fashiponed" Capital Letters, just like in the ancient texts, and the way you used the past tense of the verb abound, and got it right. It was interesting ot see you spell "wash" the standard way, in the beginning of the story, but then add the "h" at the end. Was that deliberate or just a typo? The comic book page with the Gayland Hero was my favorite--that and the Wringer Washer. Wonderful!
With only two mistakes, (the other was the apostrophe on machine--grown men here do it all the time, LOL), you'd still get an A minus. Show this to your English teacher; he'd be proud of your classy, creative narration. Maybe you could even hit him up for some extra credit. I taught Seventh Grade English at the beginning of my career and loved it. Seventh Graders rock. I forget what you call it in England, Is it Sixth From?
Perco: Remember what Petek said: "Don't poop in the thread" Very bad form to call out someone's grammar in public, especially a 12 year-old girl's, particularly when there were HARDY ANY, compared to what's usually out there. Like calling attention to someone's weight, or gaudy home decor, or what they put on their dinner plate. Just Bad Manners.
Lance and Company: Thanks so much for sharing this. Don't we all wish we could do it with the talent, speed and gifts of your niece. |
