I hope these are at least 20 years old, otherwise I'm in the wrong forum. What vintage are these? Nice matching set, regardless...and are they Norge? The lid style looks a little suspect...

Indexing tub for sure, but it might be old enough to have a porcelain-on-steel tub instead of a plastic tub. I'm guessing that it has a straight vane agitator and not the ramp style, but I could be mistaken. In the mid '90s I had a roommate who had the Westinghouse version of that set. The washer actually did okay, but the dryer was pants. Its capacity was too small and large loads dried somewhat leisurely.

Did Westinghouse ever have a straight vane agitator? I've only ever seen the ramp units in them. I see that they're badged as MW's but they definitely have that Westy flair! |

It's just that the Craigslist ad will disappear sooner or later, leaving a dead link.
In weeks/months years to come, when someone is searching for info on late Westys or Norges, there would be some tantalizing discussion, but no pic because of the dead link. By posting the pic, the info is complete in AW's Archives. It's easy to post a pic. You right-click the photo in the CL ad and select "Save Photo As." Give it a name and put it into any folder you please. Then, when you post, scroll down under the text box and look where it says, "Upload JPEG Format Picture to share in message:" Under that is a button marked "Browse." Use that button to navigate to the folder where you saved the photo, and click on the photo name in the folder. Now click on the "Preview Message" button at the very bottom of the page, and your message will preview with the photo in it. Approve the preview, and it's all done. Hope this helps, and again, it's not a problem, just a hope that we can have an Archives that is really helpful. |
