Hi there,

I wonder if I could ask a favour regarding your 1970's Miele automatic.

Could you possibly post a few pics of the door seal set up please and door area - one has appeared on ebay UK that we are going for and this would help us with a repair.

We are not really sure what to expect and if everything will be obvious when it comes to repairing it.

If you have any internal pics they would also be aanks `ppreciated. I know this is a big ask and we understand if you cant but its worth asking.

Thanks in advance,

Regards
Rob and Paul

No Worries

Hi Rob,

No worries at all. Its currently out service in a dark corner, so I cant get pics of the undercarriage, but the door and seal setup is easy.

The grey rubber that you can see fits onto the glass, this then fiction fits into the door frame. Its much easier to do if you take the door off first.

I made the mistake of using washing up liquid to get it onto the glass, it gets stuck in there and cant get out, that's the grey marks you can see.

I've taken a few more pics, but if there is anything specifically you want to see, please let me know.

Cheers

Nathan

Here is the door boot, its held on with a spring ring on the cabinet side and a big radiator clamp on the tub side.

Sorry the pictures are around the wrong way. I took them on the IPhone and nothing I do will turn them around.
