While it's hard to know for absolutely certain from the lack of detail in the picture I would say that the washer is an A700 (1961-1964).  It has the charcoal buttons intend of the black buttons of the 142 (with the exception of the unfortunate water level switch….) and since it still has the buttons for the console light that means it is NOT an A702 (1964-65).

"Wishing for quick sale and pick-up"

At that price point, they'll need to wish it'll sell quickly. Geez.

....'Tags of this vintage always make me giggle a bit. With the skinny washer and the pudgy dryer, they're the appliance version of Jack Sprat and his wife.

"And between them both, you see, they got the washing clean!"

Ken,

I understand.  They're now best offer.  I bet they want them sold and don't know what to value them.

I may have to give them a jingle, see what kind of money will buy them.

"pick-up" ...

Unfortunately, when it comes to vintage appliances that are in very good condition, you're not going to get a top price if you limit yourself to ONLY prospective buyers in your locale.

The chances of finding a vintage appliance afficianado in Elkhart, Indiana are relatively slim, as opposed to opening up the search nationwide.

They should at least do a little bit of legwork, find a reputuable shipper who'll deliver nationwide, and cost out the delivery charges.

I offered $250.00, with immediate pickup. Not enough.

I told them if they change their mind, let me know. They also said they work great, and are from 1950, which I corrected them and said closer to 1960.

We'll see......
