I can't get the pics to upload for some reason but here's the ad reads on CL-

Kenmore Washer and Dryer $100 OBO (Linthicum)

Selling Kenmore washer and Kenmore dryer. Both were in the house when we bought it a year ago and we just upgraded. Both worked great except for the heating coils in the dryer, which I replaced and is now brand new. I have no idea what the model or year are of either one (I tried looking). Call or text Sean at 410-713-4223, or email me. I just put them out under my carport under some tarps, so act fast!

I think that's one of the very early DD models.

Bob-
What makes you think that the machine may be a DD?

Any machine that I've seen with that style console has always been a BD when it was in the full size cabinet. I have seen the 24" as a DD because that was the first washer I purchased when I moved into an apartment 31 yrs. ago.

Did the DD come in full size machines back then? The ones I looked at then were all BDs in the 27" but I had to go with the 24" because of space.

This is a BD, not a DD. The size of the lid compared to the surface gives it away.

This is definitely a belt-drive washer. Same model that I bought when in college in 8/86. It is the entry level 70-series, 1983 model, and the first of four 70 series models. It was in production from spring 1983 to fall 1986.

The full size / 27" models did not debut until fall 1986 using the revised console with the timer on the far right and the rubberized knobs.
