Sounds like it might just be a broken coupling. Owner's getting rid of machine-
Here's what they posted-

Kenmore series 90 washer (catonsville)

Most likely good for scrap, maybe repair. Motor makes a humming noise, does not turn. Bought new, at least ten years old. email with a phone number and time you want to pick up, thanks.

Washer is in laundry room at back of the house: Out the back door, down three deck stairs, around the front of the house and you're home free.

They ARE great! Tons of features/options and runs forever. I want check the mechanicals on our 1996 90 series and probably put it back into service. Our 18 months old SQ TL is fine, but we could sure control water temp and speeds more closely with that KM.

Had the machine in the picture above 6 years ago and wish I had repaired it. Just a broken plug. That was a very flexible washer. I now have a speed queen top loader but I would take another one of these 90 series machines in a heartbeat.

One of the

best washers ever sold. This had everything I and a person would need at a low price and long life span. I'd give a lot for Sears to put something like this back on the market.
