Seller lists the DW as needing some love. Can be used as "yard art". I think it would be better off as "dump art".
Parents moved into a house that had a "Reversa Jet" Tappan DW. My mother couldn't get to the store quick enough to buy a new DW. Mom wasn't the least bit impressed with the Reversa Jet. Piece of ca-ca I'm afraid.

Is this the model with that weird-looking roller thing in the base of the machine?? THAT's a Tappan I'd like to find!

Yes - reversing drum splashing water in one direction, pause, then the other.  Sounds like a dishwasher made for Bob-Loading!  How about it, Bob?  Banish that Kenmore to the garage for the summer?  LOL

Gansky,
I think you may have confused this with the "roller" wash Tappan. This model uses a spray arm that turns in one direction by water jets and at the same time winds a spring. When the spring is tight it forces the washer arm to spin in the opposite direction.

Greg, this isn't a dual-drench Tappan, too "new" for that. There was a reverse rack near by (all-black glass like I need) Jenn Air with water heating option I would have loved to have. But no one to take me there and pick it up.

Spring loaded wash arm? I'm all for that. I don't know that I've seen pictures of this wash system...
