A quickie update: The Kenmore washer still needs to be worked on, the '72 Whirlpool dryer needs some minor things for it to be pressed into service. The '74 Whirlpool is still chugging away. The '87 Lady Kenmore dryer had a minor repair done and is back in service. And of course, the A-107 Maytag. Flawless.

Lovely children! Three 115 volt dryers would just about keep up with the washer, providing you had separate circuits for all 4 of them. Would the Maytag be the momma since you say that she started it all?

Cute shot!

They just need some tinsel and reindeer-horn head gear and you'll be set for holiday cards next year.

What does the washer need?    They all look like they're in great shape.

we bought that exact A-107 in Nov 1974 for our very first house... 15 years & 3 kids later we moved and it was still going strong, no repairs ever!! For all I know it's still there!!!

How do you put 3 separate photos in the same post?

@Mark. It's a BOL 36" Slattery, contractor model. Circa 1963. It's slated to be replaced by the end of this month. I'll post pictures then of it and it's replacement.

@ Tom. I actually do have separate circuits to run them all, but I'm keeping only the '72 Whirlpool dryer and the '87 Whirlpool washer. The others are going to happy homes.

@ Martin. Thanks. Please, no cousins, unless maybe a matching '72 Whirlpool washer in coppertone. Wink

@Gan. The washer does have a few issues. Here's the link:

@Roger. Thanks to Martin (Yogi), I got this virtually new A-107.

@Ken. Easy, just put the link for each picture you have in Image Shack or some other image hosting site.

Link for the '74 Whirlpool and '87 Lady Kenmore dryers:

Link for '72 Whirlpool dryer:

Thanks all!

I had the same '72 Whirlpool dryer in coppertone with matching washer back in the mid 80s. I found the set in a back alley waiting to go to the crusher, so I loaded them up and took 'em home. Plugged them in and they both worked great! Washer was missing the Magic Mix lint filter (the filter pump was clogged with gunk and a paper clip of all things!). The washer had a tendency to want to roll around a bit, but both machines worked great. Of course, wish I still had them -- gave them away to buy a new, full-size Whirlpool set in 1986. That's when I learned about direct drive. Still hate it. Anyway, thanks, ultramatic, for bringing back those memories!
