My parents did a kitchen remodel in 1977, out the the mobile maid and in with harvest gold maytag dishwasher TOL, that machine was noisy as hell but cleaned outstanding, push button rapid advance timer, it held a ton of dishes too

Is this a reverse rack machine? Makes me wonder when they don't show a money shot of the machine if they might be possibly hiding something about it.

Reverse Rack

Reverse rack with full sized top wash arm with needle sized spray holes, center tower attached to lower wash arm , looked like a vibrator lol

I am familiar with the reverse rack machines. Mom had a 90's model in the house she used to live in. Somewhat loud machine, but did a good job cleaning. You could definitely here those wash arms going round when it was washing. Very strong pump in it.

Great dishwasher! May be noisy but not only worked well. It was rated best in CR for many years The racks were bass ackwatds, but held lots of dishes. It was belt driven not directly by a reversing pump/motor.

These were direct drive from their introduction in 1969 until the end of 1974 (WU600). From 1975 until 1978 they were belt drive (WU601).  Without seeing a picture of the interior it's impossible to tell which model it is.  The sump was markedly different between the two different designs, but the panel designs were nearly identical.  There was a timer revision in about 1973 for the last of the WU600s that changed the layout of the buttons slightly.

If it is indeed lightly used this is a GREAT machine.  ALL Maytag front loading dishwashers were of the reverse-rack design until the early 1990s.

At service meetings, the dildo tower always brought out smart remarks and squirming.

The reverse racking would not work for me because I always have more bowls and bowl-shaped items than plates.
