just curious...when you got this machine, did you do a thorough cleanout?.....as in taking it all apart and scrubbing everything!
I just got in an absolute filthy NorgeTag, short of taking out the tub, everything got scrubbed, but the agitator doesn't come apart, and there are areas I can't get to, so as I wash more and more hot water loads, these flecks are showing up as they are breaking off... grease and oil from the tranny usually show up as a ring in the tub or smudges in the machine or on the clothing...... you can always pull the agitator or tub to try and locate where the problem may be.... |

Open control panel, remove two cabinet clips, disconnect lid switch connector, tilt cabinet forward and pull away from base. What part are you having trouble with? |

Some machines may have two screws on the reverse (back) side of the control panel. On the Estate washer I just worked on I pulled the cabinet towards me about an inch or so before lifting the back. That seemed to work. |

Sounds like you are good to go. Just open the washer lid on the cabinet, put a hand on the rim nearest you of the cabinet and with the other hand lift the back of the cabinet by the control panel. The control panel has to be "up" for this to work. |
