Hello everyone ... thought I'd share what I think is a really cool vintage advertisement for U.S. Steel products - showing a vintage laundry room complete w/ wringer washer, ironer, hot water tank, laundry sinks, and mother and daughter doing the laundry.

I beg your pardon, but I would have been a very happy "Wee Lad" playing like that. My Father, well, wouldn't have been so happy, but, as it turned out, he wasn't meant to be happy. I had never seen a mangle, nor known what a mangle was until I was well into adulthood.

I would like a turn at trying that presser-love the dog using the girls doll as a pillow. The girl pressing her doll clothes.Too bad todays things don't take the idea of that ad--too much crappy PLASTIC in todays products--NOT "Green" at least STEEL can be recycled more easily than plastic!Despite what a lot think men do like things that move, rotate, heat up,and such!
