Dang... I wonder if people know the word 'combo' will set a certain segment of the population wild?

That's a smoking good deal for that "combo", they retail for nearly ten times that!

If that were local, it'd be in the Carryall tonight.

I didn't go there, but laughed at the "oh, maaaaan, is that all it is?" reactions.

Lot of searching here, using "combo" didn't bring up your expectations, just those alot of the
stacked units ...

So...is there such an "animal" , a SQ combo? You'd need a fork lift to get it into place, I'm sure! LOL!

Yes there is a REAL SQ Combo and this SQ stack is a great buy, the list price is currently 2,700.00 on these machines, however we discount them to around 2,500.00 and we actually sell quite a few every year. When you consider that you are looking at a machine that could last close to 50 years it is actually a very good deal.

SQ was the last US appliance maker to sell a real combo, they introduced it in 1961, it was also the smallest US combo made measuring just 25 1/2" wide. they were made only in water condensing electric models. We have one at the museum and SQ may still have one on display in Wisconsin at their factory.

These SQ combos appear to be a downsized version of the very short lived Hotpoint combo that came out around 1957 and disappeared in just a year or so.

I propose that in the future when captioning an ad for this club these units should be called what they are: a stack unit. In the truest sense of the word, a washer-dryer combination is what its inventors meant: one machine that washed and dried clothing in one continuous operation with no attention from the operator between starting and unloading except, of course, for watching.

Nice!

I would definitely love to own of one of these Stacked SQ units. Convenience and build quality for a discounted price over a W/D set (I think the saving is several hundred dollars).
