Too Bad....

....About the Avocado, because those units are otherwise really desirable ones, the oven in particular. It's a JK 29, one of the earlier ones - made after windows were added, but it still has the brushed-metal inserts on the door handles. This would put it somewhere between '67 and '70, I think. Later units had Ye Olde Fayke Woode Graine inserts.

The JK 29 has two-count-'em-two self-cleaning P*7 ovens - this is not a case of one oven being a self-cleaner and the other not.

These were TOL, very expensive units when new, with the oven being a really excellent performer. If the present owner has ever used the oven when working properly, they will rue the day they ever got the idea to replace it.

Those surface units in the avocado cooktop were misused and abused.

You're right about the misuse and abuse, but remember - this is a unit that could be repaired like new.

The hood shown with the Avocado cooktop is the same as my neighbor V. had with her Mark 27 range, that was installed in '73. She now has a newer Mark 27 in Almond.
