I have a variant model of this washer that has the slow speed delicate cycle instead of the soak cycle. Unfortunately, it was made after the switch to the rollermatic mechanism so it has the space capsule agitator.

Tom, I have the single speed version with the remote timer that I got from John last year. Mine has the Multimatic transmission and should have the grey agitator but it has the newer one too... The illustration in the lid shows the earlier type agitator.

 

From what I unerstood of the documentation, some Multimatic models also switched to the newer agitator as not every 1964 model was produced with the Rollermatic transmission. Could you show a picture of your lid?
